California NEW Guard Card Hybrid Essentials Training

Complete the full 40-hour California BSIS security guard training path with a flexible combination of required in-person instruction and online learning. The Hybrid Essentials package includes the 8-hour Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force coursework, with the minimum BSIS-required 4 hours completed in person, followed by 32 hours of continuing education completed online at your own pace.

This option is ideal for new Guard Card applicants who want to meet the required in-person training component while completing the remainder of their training conveniently online. Students also receive access to online course materials, the Guard Training platform, and completion certificates.
