Evacuation Procedures

Effective emergency preparedness is essential for ensuring safety in a crisis. This course provides security personnel with training on evacuation procedures, fire safety, earthquake response, and weather-related emergencies. Participants will learn the proper use of emergency equipment, notification protocols, and the role of security officers in coordinating with emergency responders. The course also covers power outage procedures, the importance of designated evacuation routes, and key points of contact during emergencies.

Participants will be provided with an understanding of the following:

Fire & Life Safety Procedures

• Security officers’ role in fire detection and response
• Proper use of fire extinguishers and evacuation alarms
• Coordination with emergency personnel

Earthquake & Weather Emergencies

• Preparedness and response strategies for earthquakes and severe weather
• Shelter-in-place procedures and maintaining order during emergencies
• Post-emergency assessment and hazard mitigation

Evacuation & Emergency Response

• Familiarity with evacuation routes, exits, and emergency utilities
• Assisting personnel and guiding emergency responders
• Conducting and participating in emergency drills

Power Outages & Communication Protocols

• Monitoring and reporting power failures
• Emergency lighting and equipment readiness
• Notifying key personnel and following post orders
