Security personnel must understand the legal framework surrounding arrests, searches, and seizures to ensure lawful and professional conduct. This course provides training on the legal distinctions between security officers and law enforcement, the authority to make arrests, and the limitations on searches and evidence handling. Participants will gain knowledge of the Fourth and Fifth Amendment protections, the use of force, and liability concerns such as false imprisonment and excessive force. The course also covers shopkeeper’s privilege, witness statement collection, and legal procedures for securing physical evidence.
